MAC ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS FOR MANIPUR

Permanently sponsored by MAC; Annual, A Gold Medal, Rs 2000 cash, Honour Roll

MAC instituted this award with the objective of encouraging students pursuing studies at government schools with high performance. The project aims to contribute to any concerted movement to reverse the current trend of abandoning government schools for higher performing private schools in Manipur. This award is sponsored with the fund contributed by Dr. Soraisham Amuchou, a MAC member from Calgary, Alberta, Canada and is dedicated to his father (Late) Soraisham Ningthembi Singh.

The award is administered by a Trust under the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (COHSEM), Imphal. The award is given to the highest scoring student of all streams in Higher Secondary Leaving Examination in Manipur. The student must be a domicile of Manipur and must have studied in  government funded school in Manipur. The award commenced in 2012. Details are available with COHSEM, Imphal.

The award carries:

1. A Gold Medal
2. A cash award of Rs 2000
3. An Honour Scroll
4. Six years’ honorary membership of MAC
